My nursing background is in oncology and hospice and palliative care, I completed my Masters of Nursing Nurse Practitioner Degree through the University of British Columbia. I have since been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Horizon Medical Clinic in Chilliwack, BC.
Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP's) are advanced practice nurses with masters level education. FNP's are primary care providers who independently diagnose, prescribe, order and interpret tests, perform procedures, and refer to specialists as required for their patients.
